The Entity For a brief moment after a month of panic and desperate running, I felt relief. She’s the one. She will be my next host, and she will provide the next answer for the test the Paladins will put me through. I’d been searching for a new host since the previous one was quiteContinue reading “Prologue”

Chapter 10
Dorothy Enty was only gone for an hour before he returned through the window, curling up next to me and purring as I stared off into space, trying to envision somewhere I’d never been. No success? “It’s so hard to imagine something I’ve never seen. I keep trying to see the highschool gym, but allContinue reading “Chapter 10”
Chapter 9
Dorothy “Whoa, do that again!” Mateo nearly shrieked as I blinked out of sight, then reappeared again on the other side of the court. I was with the twins in the gymnasium after hours, the other students having headed home hours ago. We’d snuck in after I’d told them I had some new tricks toContinue reading “Chapter 9”
Chapter 8
Thunder Baron escaped. Baroness had shown up and created yet another series of problems for us to deal with before we could continue our pursuit. Chapter 7
Thunder Another two weeks had passed since I’d run into the new super in East Hollywood and they had stepped up their game since then. No casualties had been reported though the damage to the construction projectContinue reading “Chapter 7”

Baron The plan had been simple as I thought back on it. King had contacted the court and informed us of each of our tasks. I’d raised my usual complaints and demands for knowing just whatContinue reading “Chapter 6”
Chapter 5
Dorothy “I got in a chase with Thunder!” I was both ecstatic and alarmed. Ecstatic because I had been in a real-life, actual chase with a real superhero and got away. Not like I’d done anything wrong really. I’d already fixed everything I’d borrowed while I was running away. The alarm came from having beenContinue reading “Chapter 5”
Chapter 4
Thunder It’d been a week since the mall break in and we hadn’t found a trace of the culprit, although I did have a suspect. Several items were found to be missing from the inventories, but with a mall this large shoplifting was a given. Among the missing equipment however was a bowler hat andContinue reading “Chapter 4”
Chapter 3
Dorothy “He is such a jerk.” I sniffled as I picked my lunchbox back up and walked back to my table where Camilla and Mateo were looking at me like I’d gone mad. “What were you thinking Dory? Diego treats us like dirt when we avoid him, and you went right up to him andContinue reading “Chapter 3”
